Chris Hemsworth, Navid Negahban, and Michael Pena are just shoe ins for their parts. They provide such a wonderful depth to characters that had the possibility to be just another warrior, but no. These three in my opinion provide so much additional depth to this story about just the idea of growth, change, allegiance, and empathy that it is hard to match in most movies.
With that, the story is fantastic and all the more crazy and impressive knowing that it is true that these men road horses against tanks and missiles. That's truly ballzy.
My Rating
This is a great movie. Excellent acting and presentation of a story. Complete devotion by all involved. Action is excellent and constantly involved. This is an 8. I am not sure why it got anything less.
Parental Rating
There is a lot of violence in this movie, as expected it is a war movie, and with that there will be language. However, the language would be acceptable to my dad for the way it is used. While this movie is all about family, this is the family movie that you want as there is blood, violence, and death on the main stage. My dad is in, my mom is out.
