Review
I honestly never thought about watching this movie. I knew it came out. I knew it was supposedly good. I knew it was political which is probably why I never watched it. Overly political movies are not really my thing. However, I watched it tonight and I was wrong. It was so good.
John David Washington is fantastic and his performance here puts Tenet to shame. I remember him being good, but not this good. Adam Driver, who has a very special place in my heart, is outstanding. They really bring life to these characters that had to mount this crazy operation.
My Rating
Must see. It was an Oscar winner for a reason, brings real life to the same arguments that we have been having for 200+ years. Especially with everything that has happened in the last 5 years.
Parental Rating
It is a Spike Lee film, so dear lord is there is a lot of language, plus the subject matter means that there is going to be a lot of racist vernacular in there. My dad is 100% out. My mom might watch it as there is a good story, but the language might be a bit much for her. No sex, violence is minimum, but the language is a lot.
