Review

I have watched this show probably a dozen times in my life and as I am writing this, I think I see this show COMPLETELY differently than I ever have before. Even with that I think some of the overall lessons are still great and wholesome, but as an adult I watch this I notice some very different things.

Overall the acting is really good and consistent to the storylines that are there from day one. The biggest character change is really to Eric who just got dumber and dumber with the exception of some very poignant moments when he becomes the smartest man alive in the scene.

I will say that generally what wasn't consistent was the story for the characters. Sometimes they regressed to weirdness that I don't think makes sense for their character. Also, in later seasons the amount of selfishness is just over the top. To the point that the entire 7th Season I think should have been removed and ended with the wedding between Corey and Topanga. Everything after that is just a master class in the selfishness of everyone.

Mr. Feeney is honestly the standout performance. Enough that his lesson/the idea of him is making a show in a presentation I am presenting.

My Rating

As I watched this while growing up, it was a great show and I would have given it a 9. However, as an adult it is a 7. I really appreciate the story elements and life lessons that are applied as some of them are still relevant. I think it would have been an 8 if they removed the last season.

Parental Rating

This is a kids show with wholesome moments, but not something they would watch. It isn't content my dad would watch and my mom would only watch it with kids. Based on the rules they both approve, but not a chance they would actually watch it.
