Review

Entertaining, but highly predictable. I know it isn’t supposed to be Oscar worthy, but it could have been better.

I did find it 10000% funny and ironic that the biggest problem I had with the first movie is this movie’s greatest strength not only for the character but the movie itself. Someone walks in and blames all their problems on someone else.

The fighting was great. Really entertaining and there is a portion during the final fight that I honestly felt was the best change they had done to the Rocky/Creed series as a whole. Whoever’s idea that was well done (Don’t want to spoil it, but you’ll know what I am talking about when you see it).

The best part though was the sign language. It’s natural and fluid which is not something you see outside of people who care and studied. See The Quiet Place for the best example.

I know prior to the recent events of Jonathan Majors there was a comment about Michael B. Jordan and Majors being a dynamic duo and that would be great. They worked well together.

My Rating

Like I said the movie was entertaining, but that was about it. There really isn’t anything special about it. I’d expect more, but honestly Jordan plays the same character 90% of the time. It’s a 6 wanting to be a 7, but just won’t make it.

Parental Rating

Lots of language, lots of violence. My dad likes the rocky movies, but I think he’d pass on this one. Moms out. Violence for violence sake isn’t her thing.
