Review
This movie run under the radar and I understand why, but is for sure something you should watch. The Aliens are really well done, high budget design, and really interesting facial structures. Also the jump scares are pretty good. I will say they are more direct than Signs, but really good.
Kaitlyn Dever does an outstanding job in being basically a single character showcase. Also the writing is really well done in the piece meal story telling of what happened that someone would spit in her face.
Also the title doesn't really get explained until near the end, but what a message being provided. Very poignant message.
My Rating
I enjoyed this movie, it was a solid 7. I am really impressed with Kaitlyn and the story, but the ending for me is just so divided. There is basically an ending and then there is a second ending. The second one killed the story for me. I just think it was misplaced and I am pretty sure that is where the ratings from others really tears into it.
Parental Rating
No language, limited violence, no nudity. However, with the lack of all of this, there isn't a lot of family value to it so my mom is out. My Dad I am not entirely sure what he would choose. The content is so far out of his normal watching he would be out for the most part, but I think this is worth watching. Based on the rules, he would approve.
