Plane
A decent movie overall, even though it is for sure a B rated movie. Gerard Butler is always a force to be dealt with when he is in the movie. This movie also has Remi Adeleke who wrote Transformed as one of the support forces. The story is forced, but the action is really good.
Synopsis
Gerard Butler plays a pilot that is forced to take a path through a storm that ends up forcing the plan to land on a country that is in an open civil war. Some of his passengers are kidnapped and he teams up with a passenger that was being detained and extradited back to the United States to save the rest of the passengers.

My wife and I really enjoyed watching it and honestly that is because of the performance of Gerard Butler. He really is that good.
The overall movie feels flat, very predictable, and the most unbelievable item is the staff of the Airline company working to get the pilot and passengers back. It made me laugh. Funny story about this movie, showed up as a "Movie about Travel" and I got a good laugh out of that. It isn't about Travel... at all.
My Rating
While I enjoyed this movie and initially gave it a 7, as I was writing this and thinking it through I had to give it a 6. Its just meh.
Parental Rating
It is rated R for violence and language. I do not in general remember the language being that forceful. The violence is not crazy, but a bit realistic which is why I think it got this rating. For sure there are some F-bombs being dropped, but I do not see my dad not watching because of it. While this movie isn't family friendly at all, my mom would watch it with my dad because of who is in it and the general story being about triumph.
