Secret Invasion
Look lets be honest. This show did not do well and for good reason. It was entertaining, but was all filler episodes for the next big movie. They should have left it as a movie like it was originally pitched, because the TV show did not do it.
Synopsis
Nick Fury returns to earth from the SWORD space station to handle the Skrull invasion.
Review
So the acting is good. There are some seriously impressive scenes in which some important things happen. However, that is probably the best thing to come out of it. The acting was great, Emilia Clark, Mr. Jackson, and Don Cheadle have some outstanding moments that really shine above the rest of the cast. Charlayne Woodard needs her own special shoutout for: 1. Playing a character we didn't see coming, 2. Playing that character with poise and dedication to her that there was something really special about her.

The action and CGI were super cool I will admit, but in general, the show is inconsequential unless you like the MCU. I don't want to give spoilers so I will say 2 final things. What they did to Rhoady will most likely ruin the character. They also setup a MCU that is uncontinuable.
My Rating
It is entertaining, but not enough that I will ever rewatch it. I remember how it ends and that is more than I can say for the rest of the episodes. It is a 5.
Parental Rating
They don't watch the MCU stuff unless they are watching with someone else. However, the action is good, the language is minimal and there is no sex. However, there is also no family element that is worth my mom watching. While they wouldn't watch it, my Dad approves and my mom rejects.
